Gremio questions the progress of the reactivation program “Con Punche Perú” after the resignation of the Minister of Produce.
Gamarra businessmen have expressed their concern at the recent departure of the Minister of Production, Sandra Belaunde. Likewise, they have questioned the effectiveness of the economic reactivation program of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, With Punche Peru.
“With the resignation of the Minister of Production, it is demonstrated that the current government did not intend to comply with its offer, through the Con Punche Peru program, to reactivate the mypes and SMEs of the largest market in Lima, which await their prompt economic recovery”, reported Edward Raymundo, president of the Gamarra Business Federation (Fedegama).
In addition, the president of Fedegama stated that the resignation of the head of Production occurred because the Government did not intend to comply with the proposed initiatives. “From the beginning we doubted that this economic reactivation program would come to fruition,” he said.
It should be noted that, in order to support manufacturing and aquaculture mypes and formal artisanal fishermen affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and the latest sociopolitical crisis, the Ministry of Production (Produce) presented the program With Productive Punch. Through these proposals, it seeks to benefit around 5,000 micro and small businesses and generate between 200,000 and 250,000 jobs in the short term.
