The cost of the gas balloon rose in the south of the country after the protests against the Government of Dina Boluarte. This is due to the blockade of roads, a measure taken by protesters demanding the resignation of the president. Hundreds of citizens must stand in long lines outside bottling plants or pay prices above the regular value.

In Cusco, citizens denounced that several distributors are taking advantage of the scarcity of the input to triple the price of gas. For example, the 10 kilo ball, which has a regular cost of S/50, is sold for up to S/150.

A citizen, who queued outside of Lime Gasin Cusco, told The Republic that his neighbor paid up to S/230 for the delivery of the ball to his home. The user was honest and explained that he does not have many economic resources and for this reason he has been lining up since last Sunday.

Like this case, there are dozens of men and women who wait several days for bottled LPG in Cusco. The same situation is recorded at the Angostura plant. According to distributors, the gas would be arriving in the Imperial City within two days, via the Ica-Cusco route.

The same is replicated in Madre de Dios, where gas is being sold for up to S/300 per 10-kilo balloon. There is also a shortage of gasoline and food. According to the local outlet Tiempo Real en Noticia- Madre de Dios, several trucks that left Cusco tried to reach Puerto Maldonado this Tuesday, but there were blockages at the Laberinto crossing. In addition, it was alerted that subjects would be selling adulterated gasoline taking advantage of the shortage of this input.
