As for domestic gas, Hundreds of people got up early yesterday to make long queues in search of a gas cylinder at the Angostura domestic gas bottling plant. Despite the fact that they formed long queues, they found the ungrateful news that there was no product.

Despite the refusal, many of the users chose to stay in the place waiting for fuel, since it was reported that the vehicles were stranded in Limatambo, Anta province and another contingent in Challhuanca (Apurímac).

The lack of fuel is affecting food vendors in the markets. They have closed their businesses.

In Tacna, the increase in chicken is maintained in the markets, while other products maintain their prices. Before the restart of the stoppages and blockades, on the roads a kilo of chicken was sold between S/8 and S/9.50, however, since last weekend it can only be found at S/11.50 in the Miguel Grau Wholesale Market.

The products that maintain their prices are fish (bonito) S/5, peas S/8, carrots S/2, among others.

Trips to Cusco and Puno on condition

Although yesterday Monday no blocked roads were reported in the Arequipa region, the demand for travelers continues to be low, as there is fear of being stranded on highways in other regions. Faced with this, some carriers offer alternative routes to reach destinations.

Thus, yesterday the company Expreso Real offered tickets from Arequipa – Cusco in 130 soles. In the case of departures to Puno, minivan offered tickets at the value of 50 soles. They were going by the alternative route through Mañazo.
