Yape is an application that facilitates the process of making payments, receive money and even request some loan. However, no person is exempt from making a mistake when choosing the contact to which they will send money or maybe in the amount to transfer. What to do if I made a wrong contact or transfer amount at the time of yapping?

The Payments made through the platform Yape are performed instantly, therefore once confirmed the operation cannot be cancelled. However, through the apps You can request that the recipient can return the amount sent. Follow the next steps:

  • Enter the Yape app and go to the menu (three lines at the top left).
  • Press the option charge.
  • Select the contact from whom you will request the transferred money.
  • Type the amountdetails the reason for your charge and click on the option charge.
  • Once this procedure is done. Your contact will instantly receive a notification with your charge.

What requirements do I need to register in Yape?

If you want to register in Yape, You must enter the data of your identity document and an email for personal use. So you will have three options membership:

  • BCP card
  • DNI (no need to have a card or bank account)
  • Another VISA debit card (Mibanco, Caja Cusco, Caja Piura, Caja Tacna, Caja Trujillo, Caja Sullana and Banco de la NaciĆ³n).

How to use Yape without having a bank account?

To open an account Yape with your IDyou must follow the steps that we detail:

  • Download the Yape application on your cell phone
  • Select the “Create account” option. Put your phone number; then accept the terms and conditions of registration.
  • Yape will send you a verification code. Later, you will receive a confirmation message.
  • Enter your personal data
  • Create your secret key. We remind you that the password should not have numbers of your date of birth or your ID.
  • Choose option 3 to access Yape using your ID number.
  • You will be asked to answer some security questions to finish the process.
  • Finally, Yape will send a text message to your phone to inform you that the account was created successfully.

What happens to my money if I delete my account?

One of the biggest questions surrounding the use of YapeIt has to do with what will happen to the money we have in the application if we delete this tool from our device. Given this, there are two cases:

  • Yape with ID: According to the official website of Yape, in case you delete your account affiliated with DNI you will not lose your money. Quite the contrary, within a maximum period of three business days you will receive a message informing you how to withdraw the money you saved.
  • Yape affiliated with BCP account: The money will be kept in the bank account without the need to carry out any process, or wait for a notice from the entity, since the amount that was in the app will appear in the bank account associated with Banco BCP.
