Minem appoints Jaime Luyo as the new Vice Minister of Electricity

The new official replaces José Martín Dávila Pérez.

He Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) appointed Jaime Eulogio Luyo Kuong as the new Vice Minister of Electricity, replacing José Martín Dávila Pérez. The change was made official through Supreme Resolution No. 002-2023-EM published this Saturday, January 28 in the newspaper El Peruano.

Luyo Kuong is an electronic engineer by National University of Engineering (UNI) and has a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the United States. Likewise, she has postgraduate studies at Duke University in the USA and at the International Center for Theoretical Physics in Italy.

Previously, the named owner has worked as a consultant at the Ministry of Education, at MINEM, at Osinergmin, at Electroperú and at Concytec. Among the functions that the official will have, he must supervise the policy of sustainable development in terms of electricity in Peru.
