Along these lines, he anticipated that the adjustment could be around 9 cents, which is expected to have a moderate impact.

A few days ago, the Association of Winemakers of Peru (ABP) warned that a possible increase would impact consumers’ pockets. This, added to the social conflicts that have been taking place since December and that have harmed the wineries. Thus, they requested not to update the ISC for this 2023.
Given this, the Minister of Economy indicated that he is taking note of the demands of the winemakers to assess the impact of this measure. “What I do emphasize is the commitment of the entire MEF team to meet these demands that are urgent in order to advance in the reactivation,” added Contreras Miranda.
