The prior knowledge of the Ecuadorian market by the Uruguayan brand is due to the fact that they are part of the Narváez Group, the same owners of the Almacenes Tía chain in Ecuador, who also manage the TA-TA chain in Uruguay, with the same concept of business with which BAS began to be commercialized in 2012; and that later, due to its success, began to open its own stores in Montevideo since 2016, to later expand to the rest of Uruguay.
