The Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE) reported that, in order to insert more citizens into the labor market, it held the event “Space for dialogue on labor inclusion for people with disabilities”, where 60 representatives of private companies and 40 public servants and officials from employment centers participated at the national level.
The MTPE pointed out, through a press release, that during the meeting it was highlighted that, between 2015 and 2021, the number of companies that hire people with disabilities has increased.
The entity also explained to the company representatives the importance and benefits of hiring people with disabilities or retaining workers with disabilities.
Among the proposals made by the companies, they highlight the importance of holding events on the exchange of experiences on labor inclusion processes for people with disabilities, as well as reinforcing the work of articulation between companies and the MTPE employment centers at the national level and generating agendas for strategic allies to help companies design job placement programs.
The main companies that participated were: Ripley, Sodimac, Enel, Peruvian Supermarkets (Plaza Vea and Vivanda), the National Chamber of Tourism-Canatur, Autonorth-Trujillo, Grupo Muya, Padre Luis Tezza Clinic, Molitalia SA, AddmeWork, Antamina, DHL , NOVATRONIC, Cementos Pacasmayo, Lima Airport Partners, etc. Likewise, companies with regional headquarters in Arequipa, Ancash, La Libertad and Loreto participated.
