The Russian Olympian rants about a world conspiracy. I wish Russia had killed the “Nazis”

Soon it will be a year since sanctions were imposed on Russia and Belarus by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) because of the armed aggression against Ukraine. Since then, athletes from these countries are not allowed to compete under their own flags in international events, and sports events cannot be organized in these countries. – Sanctions against Russian and Belarusian states and governments must and will remain in force –

The former representative of Russia found a specific reason for the sanctions

2013 world champion in team cross-country skiing Alexei Petukhov spoke about sanctions against Russian sport. According to him, there is a global conspiracy directed against his homeland. And among the guilty he pointed to… the Nazis.

– European policy excludes a positive attitude towards Russian athletes. There is a world conspiracy. Most Europeans see us normally, but the forced smiles of the authorities have been felt before. It’s hard to believe that anger and hatred were so deeply rooted. Now it’s clear where it all started. Probably since World War II, where we won but didn’t finish off some of the Nazis. Now it manifests itself with new energy, more and more every month, announced Petukhov.

The 39-year-old surprised not only with this statement. In his opinion, according to Russian propaganda, Russia is not to blame for anything. – The only source of hatred is high-ranking politicians, while ordinary Europeans seem to see clearly and begin to understand: Russia is not the aggressor, athletes are not to blame. It’s high time to come to the conclusion that the world sport will only benefit from the participation of the Russians – added the former ski runner.
