Government reschedules credits from Reactiva Peru until December 31

The government approved reschedule until December 31, 2022 and extend the grace period for up to 24 months to the credits granted within the framework of the Reactiva Peru program created to continue promoting the financing of micro and small businesses (mypes), as well as those engaged in activities related to the tourism sector, which would face problems in paying their credits .

In accordance with Emergency Decree No. 011-2022 published today in the newspaper El Peruano, the Companies of the Financial System (ESF) are exceptionally empowered so that, with their own resources, they can reschedule the credits guaranteed with the Program ” Reactivates Peru”, up to the sum of S/ 10,000 million in order to provide payment facilities to the beneficiaries of this credit.

Likewise, it is authorized to establish a new grace period for beneficiaries of rescheduling up to 24 monthsadditional time to the original grace period established in Legislative Decree No. 1455.

“In the case of the tourism sector, it can be established a grace period of up to an additional 12 months to the term indicated above, subject to the evaluation of the ESF”, specifies the norm.

In the new grace period, beneficiaries only pay interest and commissions corresponding.

The legal device also establishes that companies, in order to benefit from the rescheduling, must first have a guaranteed loan with the Reactiva Peru Program. In the case of loans between S/ 90,001 and up to S/ 10,000 million must demonstrate a drop in the level of sales greater than or equal to 30% in 2021 compared to 2019.

Companies will have until December 31 of this year to take advantage of this benefit.
