The negotiation of metal convention of Bizkaia with the mediation of the Basque Government will continue next Friday after considering the parties insufficient a proposal that the autonomous Executive has raised in the meeting held this Monday with the unions and employers.
The trade union representatives, the Biscayan Federation of Metal Companies (FVEM) and the Basque Government held in Bilbao the second meeting under the mediation of the Executive, in which “the discrepancies between the parties have continued to be investigated”, the union majority that make up the CC.OO., LAB and UGT at the negotiating table has reported.
As they have pointed out, after the first meeting held last Monday, the Basque Government has raised a proposalwhich “is not enough for the parties”.
Unions and employers have committed to keep negotiating to try to bring positions closer and will meet again for that purpose next Friday.
The Basque Government decided to summon the parties to a mediation process in the face of the discrepancies without signs of a solution that unions and employers had been maintaining after more than eleven days of strike in the sector in 2022.
