The Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (Promperú) announced that exporting MSMEs from eight regions of the country would carry out businesses for more than US $ 22 million in the next twelve months as a result of their presentation in ANUGA 2021, the world’s leading trade fair for processed foods and beverages, which takes place in Germany.
With an amount of US$ 1,13 millones exporting companies held 272 commercial appointments, announced Promperú. Under the Super Foods Peru brand, the companies that represented the Piura, Ancash, Madre de Dios, Junín, Lambayeque, Lima, Callao and Cajamarca regions had commercial contacts with buyers from Europe (71%), America (17%) and Asia (11%) and showed their products with the capacity to serve private brands and the retail sector.

The ANUGA 2021 fair is one of the two largest fairs for processed foods and beverages worldwide, it takes place in Germany and has a great impact on the food industry. This edition had the participation of 70,000 visitors from 169 countries and 4,600 exhibitions from 98 countries around the globe.
The Peruvian foods presented at ANUGA 2021 were canned fruits and vegetables, chocolates, juices, Amazonian chestnuts, purple corn, kiwicha, cañihua, sacha inchi oil, cocoa, dehydrated fruits, avocado, mango, strawberry, blueberry, capsicum, among others.

As part of the delegation were present the MSMEs Blue Market, Algarrobos organic, Granos Agrícolas del Perú, Greenbox, Ecoandino, Xpodeka, Ecosac Agrícola, Agromar Industrial, Dominus, Mebol, Fusion Foods, Ecommodities sac, Agrícola y Ganadera Chavín de Huantar, Agroindustrias Osho, Organic Algarrobos, Selva Industrial, Gandules and Villa Andina.
Promperú highlighted that one of the sectors that have maintained sustained growth in recent years is the non-traditional food export sector. Its main markets are Europe (36%) and the United States (40%), both with a 9% growth in 220.
