At the end of October 2022, at the International Specialty Coffee Fair (FICAFE) that took place in Ayacucho, the young man from Cusco achieved the national title as the best Peruvian coffee taster, beating 25 national competitors from different regions.
However, after that achievement Junior Zanabria is touring cities carrying out activities and workshops with the aim of raising funds for his training, which is scheduled to take place for a month in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, before traveling to Athens to try for the world championship for our country.
Fernando Vera-Revollar, one of the representatives of Ciudadanos por la Convención, stated for La República that Junior, like any disciplined and conscientious competitor, must travel to Europe in search of trainers, laboratories, environments and adequate technology to prepare and succeed. in such a demanding competition, where he will try to beat about 30 competitors from all over the world.

“Junior has a plan to take the country’s name to the top of the world of coffee, now it’s time to accompany and encourage him, and collaborate so that his training is the most appropriate and is at the level of this great world contest. The authorities and citizens can make Junior aspire to be a world champion and Peru has one more reason to show that united we can do everything”, said Vera-Revollar.
It should be noted that the quilabambino, Junior Zanabria, will represent Peruvians who love coffee, the thousands of peasant producers from all over the country, tasters, cooperative members and those who enjoy a good coffee at any time of the day.
It is necessary to remember that in 2022 Peru was awarded for producing the best coffee in the world, and this 2023 we have the possibility of also having the best coffee taster in the world. “Faith is the most beautiful thing in life and coffee is the richest thing in life. So be it and up Peru!” says Vera-Revollar.
