What happens to my money if I delete my account?

One of the biggest questions surrounding the use of Yape has to do with what will happen to the money we have in the application if we delete this tool from our device. Given this, there are two cases:

  • Yape with DNI: According to the official website of Yape, in case you delete your account affiliated with DNI you will not lose your money. Quite the contrary, within a maximum period of three business days you will receive a message informing you how to withdraw the money you saved.
  • Yape affiliated with a BCP account: The money will be kept in the bank account without the need to carry out any process, or wait for a notice from the entity, since the amount that was in the app will appear in the bank account associated with Banco BCP.

Yape: how to download it to your cell phone?

If to date you do not have Yape on your cell phone, follow these simple steps to download it:

  • Search the Play Store or Apple Store for the “Yape” application
  • Open the option and click on “Create account”
  • Put your cell phone number and wait for them to give you a verification code
  • Complete the information requested (ID, email and 6-digit password)
  • Select the way you want to join: BCP card or DNI.
