For example, in the “Repuestos Lima” self-service, located on Av. Garcilaso in the district of Wanchaq, diesel a month ago was quoted at S / 15.99 per gallonToday, to the surprise of the drivers, it reached S / 16.89. Similarly, in the “Servicentro” self-service located on Av. la Cultura, diesel was priced at S/ 16.27 and today prices rose to S/ 16.99.

According to the sellers, the price increase is due to a floor price updateindicating that they have no choice but to increase prices in their establishments.

Those most affected by this new increase in fuel prices are urban service carriers, because most of their units run on diesel, a fact that could turn on the alarms of a possible increase in passagesif prices continue to rise in the coming weeks.
