For the first time, 125 productive and business unions will meet at the First Convention of the Ecuadorian Business Committee (CEE). The business meeting will take place in Manta, Manabí province, on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 January.
Miguel Angel González, president of the CEE and promoter of the meeting, indicated that the objective is to combine criteria from various business perspectives and thus analyze the social, political and economic aspects, to outline the role that the business sector should play and help raise the country .
Dialogues between the Government and the private sector will focus on nine productive tables that will work with the methodology of the Inter-American Development Bank
González described the convention as the “best option to strengthen union and union integration.”
The president of the Committee will participate in the sessions on both days, in addition there will be presentations by spokespersons on market studies, analysis of Ecuadorian society, the actors and institutions of the country, challenges of the Ecuadorian economy and the strategic role of unions .
At the end of each talk, the businessmen will have the opportunity to ask the speakers questions and draw conclusions from each intervention during group dialogues.
Likewise, dynamics called Coffee Speed Networking will be generated, in which they will be able to present their company and/or union that they represent and exchange contacts to generate more business. At the end of the convention, businessmen will have the opportunity to visit the port of Manta, to learn a little more about the dynamics of trade in this place.
“We want to get union leaders from all provinces and all sectors to know each other: industry, commerce, agriculture, construction, mining, fishing, aquaculture, livestock, tourism, among others to facilitate connections and thus produce more business. The ability to catapult our strengths is infinite. That is why we are here today. The business sector has a special call to lift up Ecuador. We are protagonists and we can positively influence the future of the country”, expressed the president of the Committee.
For his part, Andrés Robalino, executive director of the Chamber of Industries, Production and Employment of Cuenca (Cipem), who will also participate in the meeting, indicated that the event will lay the foundations for improving competitiveness and strengthening unions. that make up the CEE.
