Massification of natural gas will begin in Ayacucho, Ucayali and Cusco

In order to massify and intensify the use of national natural gas, the Vice Minister of Electricity of the Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem), José Martín Dávila Pérez, announced that the first stage of massification will begin in Ayacucho, Ucayali and Cusco, and the next one will reach the other regions of the country.

During your visit to the city of Ayacucho to participate in the so-called Executive Council of the Bicentennial, the official explained that 113,000 families will benefit from natural gas in the regions in a first stage and that the current Government will fulfill this desire longed for by the various populations.

“The studies have already been carried out and here near [de Ayacucho] we have a bypass of the gas pipeline, which would allow us to distribute natural gas. For years we have seen it pass through our lands, but it never reached the population ”, he added.

Regarding the work of electrification throughout the country, he said that 100 million soles will be invested to benefit 80,000 users. “The 86% gap that we have now we will bring to 96% next year, and 100% coverage will be reached at the end of the term of President Pedro Castillo”, He declared.

He described this decentralized meeting as important because -as he said- it allows the Government to fulfill its commitment to eliminate intermediaries. “The provincial officials are going to Lima and many times they do not speak with a minister or vice minister no matter how much they knock on the doors, “he said.
