Fertiabono II: Midagri will approve the reinforcement of the subsidy at the end of January

The owner of the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri), Nelly Paredes, reported that a reinforcement of the Fertiabono will be approved at the end of January 2023. This aims to provide monetary support to small producers for the acquisition of fertilizers.

“I must also announce that at the end of the month (January) the reinforcement of the Fertiabono (Fertiabono-II) will be approvedwith which small producers will be able to receive their bonus,” declared the minister on Monday during a work tour in Pasco.

Along these lines, Paredes also called on the unions and agrarian organizations of Pasco to register in the Register of Agricultural Producers (PPA), so that they can access the subsidy.

“With the Fertiabono, the benefited farmers will be able to obtain that money that will help them buy fertilizers (chemicals) necessary for their crops, and if they have already purchased these inputs, it will serve to replace the money already invested in their crops,” added the minister.

It should be noted that the midagri defines this register as a technological tool that allows for greater knowledge of agrarian problems, outline policies and propose solutions to their different needs, provide beneficiaries with various services (such as vouchers, credits, training, access to digital markets, seeds certificates, vaccination kits and information for their products).

In addition, up to now there have been around 1.4 million farmers registered in the PPA at the national level.
