SRI now has all vehicle tax services available again

The Internal Revenue Service (SRI) reported that as of this Monday, January 16, 2023, all vehicle tax services are already enabled on its portal.

And it is that this entity had suspended them to configure the values ​​to be paid for vehicle taxes corresponding to the 2023 fiscal period. For this reason, from December 30, 2022 to January 15, it suspended:

  • Attention to requests related to the vehicle cadastre service: face-to-face and online channels.
  • The “Vehicles” section of the SRI Online portal at www.sri.gob.ec.
  • The payment of taxes administered by the SRI and other items that make up the registration.

While the channels for the entry of procedures related to the vehicle cadastre were inactive since December 23: face-to-face procedures entered through the Secretariat at the national level (creation of categories, reverses of contracts, information requirements, among others) and procedures entered by SRI online from the web portal (creation of categories, back of contracts, updates of vehicle characteristics, exemptions, among others).

In the portal of the Internal Revenue Service -in SRI online- you can consult the value of the registration of the car for this 2023 by entering the plate and there the values ​​​​for property tax, filming tax, the Service rate are detailed Public for the Payment of Traffic Accidents (SPPAT) and other rates that contemplate the total value of the registration that must be paid according to the last digit of the license plate. From February the schedule begins with the digit 1, in March the 2nd and so on until reaching October with the digit 9 and November with the 0. In January everyone is served and in December the stragglers.

The tax collection entity asked taxpayers to verify their obligations and make their payments on time. (YO)
