Inject more than 94 million soles to the health sector and regional governments

To deal with COVID-19, the transfer of funds was authorized for various regions of Peru. In total, 94 million 493,698 soles went to the health sector by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).

Likewise, the transfer of up to two million 118,892 soles was authorized in favor of the Regional Government of San Martín through Supreme Decree 302-2021-EF requested by the Ministry of Health (Minsa) to finance the operation and maintenance of the Health Center Pillory. Similarly, up to two million 351,030 soles were allocated in favor of the Minsa to finance the strengthening of the Epidemiological Surveillance and the National Epidemiology Network (Renace) through Supreme Decree 303-2021-EF.

The MEF authorized the transfer of up to three million 12,966 soles to the Minsa and regional governments in order to finance intensive psychosocial support for girls, boys and adolescents living orphans, related to COVID-19.

Through Supreme Decree 304-2021-EF, the transfer of up to 27 million 761,119 soles was authorized in favor of the Minsa and various regional governments to finance health interventions for the Amazonian indigenous peoples against COVID-19. Also the acquisition of basic prevention kits for Community Health Agents (ACS).

The MEF also authorized a transfer of up to 25 million 684,935 soles in favor of the Minsa by means of Supreme Decree 305-2021-EF to finance the continuity of care centers and temporary isolation on a national scale, in charge of the National Health Investment Program ( Pronis), until December 31 next.

Finally, through Supreme Decree 306-2021-EF, the ministerial entity authorized a transfer of up to 33 million 564,756 soles in favor of the Minsa and the regional governments to finance the payment of the economic delivery for complementary health services, carried out by health professionals until August 2021.
