Volkswagen Navarra will raise the salaries of the workforce by 6.1% in 2023 after the agreement reached with the unions, which have signed an increase linked to the CPI plus another 0.4%, as contemplated in the company agreement for the years 2018-2023 .
In a statement, the union section of CCOO points out that the agreement “is exemplary”, since it “avoids a decrease in the purchasing power of the workers at the Landaben plant”.
Carlos ZalduendoGeneral Secretary of the CCOO of Navarra at Volkswagen, stresses that this increase “is the result of the negotiation and dialogue capacity of this union, the only signatory of the company agreement together with UGT“.
“Unfortunately, there are few templates that have seen the price of life lessened in their salaries and we have achieved that here,” he says.
ERTE
In the same meeting in which the salary increase was agreed, the conversations about the ERTE that the management will request in the event that production is again compromised by the lack of semiconductors.
CCOO proposes to exhaust all possibilities before going to ERTE, including training the staff as a possible measure against another possible stoppage in production.
