During the conference this Thursday, January 12, the head of the Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem), Oscar Vera Gargurevich, announced the reactivation of the 7 regions project. The objective of this is to promote the massification of natural gas in seven provinces of Peru.

“We are working on the reactivation of the so-called 7 regions project, which will favor the departments of Puno, Cusco, Apurímac, Ayacucho, Junín, Huancavelica and Ucayali. To do this, we are going to contribute around S/800 million this year, which will allow us to reach 114,000 families,” Vera said at the conference of the Minister council.

Likewise, he also announced that the construction of 1,000 km of pipelines will be developed on the north coast, from Piura to Ica, which will benefit approximately 180,000 families.

Later, the minister also reported on the taking of the Antapaccay Mining, located in Cusco, in the province of Espinar. This occurs at the juncture of protests and demonstrations that have been taking place in various regions of the country.
