BN recommendations to avoid scams

  • Banco de la Nación does not make telephone calls to servers and/or public officials or retirees. Likewise, it does not request deposits or money transfers on behalf of servers and / or officials of the bank. Along these lines, the BN does not send emails, nor does it send links through text messages to provide benefits, subsidies (bonuses), or request money for procedures for the benefit of clients and/or users.
  • Do not give personal and confidential information to third parties who request it by phone or via social networks. The entity indicates that if you receive a phone call from an unknown person, from an unknown number or receive a publication or requirements from unverified social media accounts, be wary. Likewise, if under the pretext of prizes, debts, procedures, extortion, benefits or others, they request personal data, bank details or credentials, do not give them under any circumstances.
  • Do not carry out financial operations from non-personal computers or using public Wi-Fi networks. The BN recommends avoiding using non-personal equipment or connecting to public Wi-Fi networks or those of strangers to enter, make inquiries, operations or move money from mobile applications or internet banking.
  • Access the bank’s website correctly and do not use search engines. Banco de la Nación suggests avoiding accessing its website through links received by SMS, email, instant messaging, social networks, among others.
  • Be alert in case your cell phone signal is permanently lost. The entity reiterates that it is important to check the continuity of your cell phone signal. In case of loss, users should immediately contact their operators and verify if they have been a victim of chip blocking or change of ownership of your line.
