Oriental Industria Alimenticia launched two new products on the Ecuadorian market: Oriental Flower Rice and Oriental Sweet Potato Noodle, with which the firm currently has more than 270 products including sauces, pastas, drinks, among other products.
The company stressed that it annually invests in the development of new products framed in the needs of the consumer. “At Oriental we work to offer competitive products in Ecuador, delicious, nutritious and at affordable prices, these two products are healthy and essential for the diet,” said the company.

Regarding the new products, the brand stated that Arroz Flor Oriental is free of cholesterol, gluten, wheat and 100% natural; while Oriental Sweet Potato Noodle does not contain gluten, artificial colors, or preservatives, ideal for vegan and keto diets.
Oriental’s value chain is also a strategic part of these innovations, in this case, several producers from the Ecuadorian rice region are part of the company’s new proposal, which maintained research parameters with international standards to ensure quality, nutrition and flavor.
Meanwhile, the company was also recognized by the Department of Environmental Management of the Decentralized Autonomous Government of the Province of Los Ríos, for the environmental policies implemented in the Istanbul industrial complex, located in Quevedo.

The company, which has operated in the sector since 1975, assured that it is one of the main corporations that provides employment -it generates 750 direct jobs nationwide and more than 1,000 indirectly- and in turn invests in the sector for its economic revitalization. He added that the environmental field has not been alien, so they have implemented initiatives to care for and reuse water, proper waste management and even environmental indicators to measure environmental policy, among others.
Miriam Suntace, director of Environmental Management of the Prefecture, together with Byron Eras, head of Security at Oriental, formalized the delivery of the environmental mention, which highlights the commitment and active participation of the company in spaces and projects for environmental care in Los Rios province.
