Osiptel confirmed a sanction for Claro for more than 2,600 thousand soles

The Supervisory Agency for Private Investment in Telecommunications (Osiptel) confirmed the sanctions imposed on the operator Claro of 603 UIT (tax tax units), which is equivalent to more than 2,600,000 soles, for failing to comply with commitments to improve the quality of the mobile public service.

Through a resolution of the Board of Directors, the regulatory body declared the appeal filed by the operating company unfounded Of course in second administrative instance, in the event of breaches of compliance with improvement commitments, classified as serious, according to the Quality Regulations.

Thus, Osiptel imposed on the operating company five sanctions of 51 UIT, for a total of 1 million 122 thousand soles, for violating improvement commitments related to the voice quality indicator in the populated centers of Huepetuhe and Puerto Maldonado (Madre de Dios ), Sojo and Tambo Grande (Piura) and Juli (Puno).

In addition, the regulatory entity applied sanctions of 51 UIT, 96 UIT and 150 UIT, which make a total of 1 million 531 thousand 200 soles for serious infractions to the fulfillment of the commitment to improve the quality indicator of service coverage in the populated center of Contumaza (Cajamarca), Ayabaca (Piura), Pativilca (Lima) and San Marcos de la Aguada (Lima).
