The Aixeindar company, in which Iberdrola and the Basque Government participate through the Basque Energy Entity, has submitted a request for prior administrative authorization for the creation of a wind farm in Laminoria, Álava.

The park would be located in the municipalities of Arraia-Maeztu, Iruraiz-Gauna and San Millán (Álava), and would have eight wind turbines, with a gross installed power of 40 MW.

The request, dated December 19, 2022, has been published today in the Official Gazette of the Basque Country (BOPV).

After the publication of this announcement, interested natural or legal persons have a period of 20 days to present the requests they deem appropriate in relation to this project.

Recently, the Álava Provincial Council has given the environmental approval to the construction of another wind farm in Azazeta, whose promoter is also Aixeindar. The process for the construction of another in Labraza is also maintained and finally the Basque Government has renounced those planned in Arkamo and Iturreta due to their impact on the environment.
