In terms of tourism, the Minister Javier Hurtado has highlighted the Strategy for Sustainable Tourism in Destinations to which 67 million euros will be injected thanks to Next Generation European funds over 3 years, 23.9 million of them next year.
The Department of Tourism, Commerce and Consumption of the Basque Government is going to allocate 3.3 million euros next year, the same amount as in 2021, to support the investments of businesses in their modernization process.
The counselor Javier Hurtado has appeared this Thursday in the Basque Parliament to announce the figures of the draft budget of his Department for the next year, which amounts to 52.1 million euros, to which will be added 27.2 million from European funds.
Regarding trade, the budget foresees 9.9 million in support for the sector’s associations, with almost one million for the confederation Euskomer, 650,000 euros for EuskalDendak and 735,000 for urban platforms GasteizON, Bilbao Dendak and San Sebastián Shops, among other.
Regarding sightseeing, the counselor has highlighted the Strategy for Sustainable Tourism in Destinations to which they will be injected thanks to European funds Next Generation 67 million euros for 3 years, of which 23.9 million next year.
The project includes an increase of 10.6% in the amount allocated to the Basque Tourism Agency, Basketball, with 9.1 million euros.
