Euskaraz irakurri: Nafarroak bere gain hartuko du egungo trenbidea Landabengo industrialdetik ateratzeko lanen kostua
The Foral Community will bear the cost, in principle of €40 millionto remove the current railway line from the Landaben industrial estate and allow the expansion of the industrial land where Volkswagen is located, a “strategic” infrastructure that will be delivered to Adif for its integration into the conventional line.
This is stated in the agreement between the central and regional governments with Adif, the public company that manages the railway connections in Spain, whose managers have signed this Thursday in Pamplona the signing of the general protocol of action to promote a new railway line between the Landaben and Arazuri-Orkoien industrial estates.
Once the agreement was signed, the Minister for Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda, Raquel Sánchez, underlined its importance “for the industrial development of Navarra and for the promotion of rail freight transport, of a strategic nature for this Government due to its influence on the necessary ecological transition of our production model”.
The high-speed section Villafranca-Peralta, more than 80% complete
Likewise, Adif’s works on the Villafranca-Peralta high-speed section, of 5 kilometers, exceed 80% of the execution and will conclude in 2023, after an investment of €75.7 million.
Highlights of the route include the Marcilla viaduct (854 metres), which meets the junction with the Zaragoza-Alsasua railway line and the NA-228 and NA-660 highways, and the viaduct over the Aragón river (546 metres), which crosses the riverbed and floodplain, minimizing the impact on species in the area, such as the European mink.
Also the pergola on the AP-15 motorway (154 meters) and the false tunnel of “El Montico” (394 meters), with which the integration of the infrastructure in the environment is achieved.
