The unions have encrypted in a 100% monitoring of the strikea 24-hour call in four of the concessionaires of bizkaibus that they continue with the agreement without updating and have warned that they will not give up in their fight until they reach an agreement.
This strike has been called coinciding with the celebration of the Santo Tomás fair in Bilbao and all the concessionaires that have supported the strike have carried out demonstrations from different points until they all come together in front of the Foral Palace in Bilbao, where the workers have displayed various banners on which it was possible to read “For a Fair Bargain”.
During the mobilization, the president of the Busturia Lea Artibai (BLB) committee, Óscar López, from UGT, and the Ezkerraldea Meatzaldea Bus (EMB), Juan Carlos González, from CCOO, have underlined the total monitoring of this new day strike that, in addition to these two concessionaires, is also called in Vectalia Txorierri and Vectalia Enkarterri.
López recalled that one of the concessionaires, that of the Avanza Durangaldea group, has signed the agreement and has indicated that, with these mobilizations, they are asking for “the same thing that has been given to them, the CPI” in their salaries. As he has stated, they do not understand that what is possible in one concessionaire is not possible in other Bizkaibus companies and, for this reason, he has assured that they will continue united in this fight until the agreement is reached.
For his part, González has also highlighted the unity “from the first minute” of the staff and the unions and has assured that it is “to take off his hat”. He has acknowledged that it hurts them that on a day as important as the celebration of the Santo Tomás fair, many users are affected by this strike, but he has assured that they have “no other tool” and they have “led” to strikes.
