Leche Gloria SA has communicated that temporarily suspended the collection of raw milk from farmers that are part of its logistics chain in the Arequipa regionafter the attack suffered by the company’s plant on Monday, December 12.
“This morning, a group of unknown persons violently and illegally entered the facilities of our milk collection plant, located in the city of Majes, Arequipa, damaging and looting private property and threatening the safety and integrity of our personnel. Likewise, harming the economy of our ranchers,” Gloria said in a statement.
In the region ArequipaApproximately 4,000 protesters entered the company plant Glorylocated in the Alto Siguas sector.
The company has confirmed that the protesters have already withdrawn from the facilities, so they are evaluating the damage caused, recorded in various areas of the dairy plant, including the destruction of equipment and spaces for production and logistics, that have rendered the plant inoperative, which also harms dairy farmers.
For now, Gloria confirmed that no member of her staff suffered physical harm.

“We inform our consumers and clients that we will continue to supply Gloria products nationwide, making all efforts that allow us to maintain the regularity of our operation,” they stated.
