The Mivivienda Fund (FMV), a company attached to the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS), highlighted that at the national level there is a real estate offer available of 73,639 social housing units, both for the New Mivivienda Credit (NCMV) and the program Techo Propio, in the New Home Acquisition modality (TP-AVN).
On the side of Nuevo Crédito Mivivienda, the offer is broken down into 35,045 homes in Lima and Callao, representing 67.3% and, in the rest of the country, it reaches 17,034 units (32.7%). The total registration of projects in this segment amounts to 440.
At the level of the Techo Propio program, a New Home Acquisition modality, the offer amounts to 759 units in Lima and Callao and 20,801 in the provinces in 119 projects throughout the country. Being the north, center and east macro-regions those that concentrate the greatest offer.
“At this point, it is important to highlight the decentralizing drive for low-income housing. The actions from Mivivienda, aligned with the sector’s policy, are focused on promoting the articulation of the market and these results show the work that has been done to date ”, highlighted the president of the FMV, Pedro Arroyo Marquina.
October placements
The FMV announced that October closed with 2,085 credit operations, disbursing 295 million soles, the highest figure obtained since the creation of the State company.
This amount represented an increase of 93% in relation to the 1,082 credits registered in October 2020. The other two best results in the history of the FMV were obtained in September 2013 (1,246 credits) and May of that same year (1,239 credits ).
In this way, the accumulated from January to October of this year reached 10,375 Mivivienda credits, managing to disburse 1,419 million soles, which meant a growth of 67% in relation to the same period of 2020 (6,224 credits and 905 million soles in disbursements ).
“It is a historical figure that reflects the behavior of the market that, despite the pandemic, has shown resilience and today shows numbers that allow us to set the course for what will be in 2022,” Arroyo said.
In this sense, he indicated that it is expected to place 12,500 Mivivienda credits by the end of the year and, on the side of the Techo Propio program, to disburse more than 45,000 Family Housing Bonds, benefiting 57,500 families with social housing throughout the country.
