Between the months of April and August 2022, INEI carried out the National Census of Establishments, an activity corresponding to the first phase of the V CENEC. At this stage, the registration was carried out through a direct interview with the owner or person in charge of the establishment using a digital form included in a Tablet.
In this regard, INEI pointed out that All information collected is confidential and will be used for strictly statistical purposes.
It is important to indicate that the V National Economic Census will show the new productive and economic structure of the country’s business activity, which has suffered the effects of the crisis caused by the COVID-19.
With the execution of the V CENEC, economic information will also be obtained for the change of the base year and it will be possible to estimate the fall in employment levels, as well as the new ways of carrying out the work (face-to-face and/or remote), among others.
