Between The 7th Regional Week of Business Integrity in Latin America will be held on October 4 and 6, a space for dialogue for Latin American countries to exchange ideas, knowledge, experiences and discussions on prevention of corruption and business integrity.
The purpose of the appointment is to consolidate a new regional agenda on business integrity, incorporating the peace and sustainability approach with the vision of experts from the participating countries, with a main focus on SDG 16 of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
The Ecuador SinCero Bilateral Program, Prevention of Corruption, Transparency and Citizen Participation, With Alliance for Integrity, of the German Cooperation GIZ, have organized this event that promotes dialogue between various sectors in the search for solutions to prevent corruption in the private sector and business integrity. These practices are compatible with a sustainable economic reactivation that responds to the structural challenges of the fight against corruption that the Latin American region faces. This innovative space will feature the diverse perspectives of representatives of the private sector, public, civil society, academia and international organizations throughout Latin America.
According to Evangelina Gómez-Durañona, from Ceres, “It is sought that the Regional Business Integrity Week position the issue of integrity and collective action for the fight against corruption from a preventive approach, based on good practices and compliancein addition to having an impact on the creation of peace, trust and social cohesion at the regional level from the consolidation of innovative elements, which set the tone for a new regional agenda on business integrity in Latin America”.
