In the city of Arequipa, the price of a 10-kilo LPG bottle remains at a average of 47 soles. The last increase occurred on Saturday, October 30, and it was the second price increase since LPG entered the Fuel Stabilization Fund.
The last hike was around 4 to 5 soles. Previously, another increase of similar value was registered. In his last statements, the hydrocarbon specialist Antonio Gamero said that entering the LPG into the stabilization fund was not a good decision. He explained that the fund allows a greater margin of price variation, which the supplier companies would be using.
He added that the State should prioritize the renegotiation of the Camisea gas concession contract so that the LPG produced with the liquids from the field is not affected by the national reference value.
