They extend until December 31 permanence in the FECP of gasohol of 84 and gasoline of 84 and 90

The Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) approved extend until December 31 of this year the inclusion in the Fund for the Stabilization of Prices of Fuels Derived from Petroleum (FEPC) 84 and 90 octane gasoline, 84 octane gasohol and liquefied petroleum gas intended for bulk (LPG-G).

Thus, through Supreme Decree No. 011-2022-EM, published this Sunday in El Peruano, article 1 of the previous rule whose coverage expired on September 30 is modified.

The legal device also modifies the technical conditions for the inclusion of BX diesel for vehicular use in the FEPC in such a way that the update in the price band is equivalent to 5% of the variation in the final price to the consumer.

“The update of the target price band for BX diesel for vehicular use is carried out on the last Thursday of each month, as long as the PPI is above the upper limit or below the lower limit of the band. Said update is equivalent to 5% of the variation in the final consumer price of this product and in no case should it exceed said variation”, details the standard.

Likewise, it adds that in the event that, due to market conditions, the update of the target price band for BX diesel implies a lower variation in the final consumer price of less than 5%, the update of the band must reflect said lower variation; in this case, the upper or lower limit of the band will coincide with the PPI, depending on whether it is in the compensation band or in the contribution band, as appropriate.

The norm is endorsed by the Minister of Energy and Mines and by the Minister of Economy, and enters into force this Monday, September 19, 2022.

It should be added that the expansion of the aforementioned fuels in the FEPC is part of the proposals put forward by the MEF in the Imposed Peru plan. The measure will have a fiscal impact of S/ 1,500 million.
