According to a study carried out by ProHass, the citizens of USA and of Europe are the most interested in knowing the benefits of this fruit for daily food, so They have already become the first and second export market for Peruvian production.

By 2022, exporters expect to sell more than 525,000 metric tons of Hass avocado, with which a market growth of close to 9% is estimated. Currently, ProHass It has almost 8,000 producers in 51,000 hectares of crops nationwide. In addition, eight exporting companies collect the production that is sent to countries of EuropeAsia and America.

ProHass and the Impulse Data Intelligence Unit conducted a study to identify online searches by citizens of all nations where the product is exported. This research seeks to know the curiosities, needs and expectations of the target audience. The results are revealing.

Peru is the second country with the most searches for avocado origin after Mexico. Also, consumers are concerned about knowing the properties of Hass avocados for health, as well as its use in beauty and skin care. In addition, they are also interested in discovering new dishes that could be made with the fruit. For example, in the United States some mergers have already been made, such as avocado burgers.

In Peru, the trend is the same. ProHass reported that, in recent years, the consumption of Hass avocados has improved, although the most consumed is the Fuerte variety, which is common in Peruvian farms. Today, each Peruvian consumes 9 kilos of avocado per year, of which only 300 grams are from Hass.
